Giving
Like most churches, St Barnabas depends for its income almost entirely on giving from its members and friends, and from our fundraising activities.
We are not financed by the Church of England or by wealth inherited from past generations and it costs us around £150 a day to keep the church open and properly maintained for today and for future generations. We need a regular income to fulfil our mission and to maintain our wonderful Grade II*listed church building and surroundings as an asset for the Ranmore Common community and for our many visitors and passing walkers.
We would be delighted if you would partner with us by giving financially to St Barnabas. Thank you for thinking of us. And thank you to all who give regularly, occasionally, and to those who contribute via legacies and donations.
There are many ways to give:
-
Parish Giving
This scheme, run by the Church of England, allows you to make monthly, quarterly, annual or one-off gifts to us via Direct Debit.
To set this up by phone, call Parish Giving on 0333 002 1271. To set this up online, click on the link to Parish Giving below, to create your Parish Giving Scheme account and set up your giving amount and frequency. This should take no longer than 10 minutes.
This is a quick and easy way to give with or without gift aid. (Please note that the payment processor deducts around 1% in fees.)

Legacy Giving & Lifetime Donations
At St Barnabas we welcome all gifts in Wills and lifetime donations, however large or small, and we promise to use your gift to make a difference.
We use legacy gifts to help look after and restore our Grade II church and churchyard, keeping them in good shape for worship and for everyone in the community, with flexibility as needs change. We encourage you to leave a gift in your Will for the general purposes of St Barnabas rather than for a restricted purpose.
We'll discuss with your executors how to use your gift when the time comes, reflecting your interests and the church's priorities at the time. We’ll acknowledge gifts in whatever way suits you — or keep them anonymous if you prefer. However, your gift will be highly appreciated and used to make a real difference.
If you would like to talk to someone in confidence about the sorts of purposes your gift might fund, and how you would like your gift to be acknowledged, please contact Rev Anthony Rustell via email at St Barnabas hello@stbarnabasranmore.org.
If you would like to make a gift to our church in memoriam, please discuss this with us too. It can be a wonderful and appropriate way to remember a loved one
